We see opportunities and resources in everyone.

We meet the student where the student is.

We meet the student where the student is, both academically and socially. We facilitate the student to be seen and heard, and to feel included in the various arenas. We adapt the teaching to the student's different levels. We vary the tasks to find the student's skills and interests. We work to make the student independent and to get the student to manage on their own, with the goal of the student becoming a contributor to the community. We provide room for trial and error. We work to give the student an understanding of how society works and is interconnected (a holistic perspective).

Practical approach to subjects.

Practical skills are needed not only in professional life, but in everyday life as well. At Adcuro, we have expertise in building social networks, helping to strengthen self-esteem and identity, and communicating with children and young people who have different cultural backgrounds, different views on life and different social status.

Why an alternative school offer?

All children should experience learning, well-being and mastery in school, but many students feel that school is not for them. Is the school practical enough, is the teaching varied and motivating? We at Adcuro take the student into the working world and we see a clear and positive effect in the form of better motivation, initiative and a sense of mastery in the individual student.

On-the-job training opens new doors for students

CEO/Skeidar - Martin Andresen

We at Skeidar never had any doubt that this was something we wanted to support. Adcuro and Skeidar have entered into a collaboration on an alternative school system. We want to help ensure that students who drop out of regular education have the opportunity to challenge themselves and help them become the best version of themselves. Many young people grow in their role when they have the opportunity to fully challenge their abilities in a job situation.

We see very quickly that the feeling of community and support in the workplace gives young people a "boost" when they experience being received with respect and recognition. They are assigned tasks that they both master well and carry out. Experiences of mastery, good unity and opportunities to work practically we see have a positive effect on them all.

All of us who are associated with Adcuro in the form of environmental work and who work together with the youth, see clear changes. Through working in a company, many get for the first time in their lives an experience of being part of a learning and working community. We provide good guidance and they are seen as a good resource in the companies.
